BellagioSTAMP: SusTainability Assessment and Measurement Principles
A set of high-level principles used to guide the measurement and strategic assessment of progress towards sustainability.
BellagioSTAMP is a set of high-level principles used to guide the measurement and strategic assessment of progress towards sustainability.
Assessment systems based on the principles strengthen governance and improve accountability in setting and meeting sustainable development-related goals and targets. The use of the principles is also reported in the design of integrated, forward-looking assessments at the international level. BellagioSTAMP was developed in 2008 by a group of international experts meeting in Bellagio, Italy, led by IISD and the OECD's Measuring the Progress of Societies initiative. An earlier version of the principles was published in 1996.
