PDAC Sustainability Forum: Minerals and Metals in a Low Carbon Economy
This Sustainability Forum will discuss the important role that minerals and metals will play in the mining sector to help shift to a low-carbon economy.
The IGF, World Economic Forum (WEF) and Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) will be co-hosting a Sustainability Forum on the sidelines of the 2018 PDAC Convention on Saturday, March 3, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m, in Toronto, Canada.
This Sustainability Forum will discuss the important role that minerals and metals will play in the mining sector to help shift to a low-carbon economy. This will include topics such as green energy, low-carbon technology, responsible sourcing, capacity needs for geological mapping and implications for the Sustainable Development Goals.
The main event will commence at 1:00 p.m. with a panel discussion introducing the topic. Delegates will then separate into round table discussions focused on exploring the theme in depth. The event will then close with feedback from the round tables and a closing panel discussion.
