Vince Palace is inviting all Winnipeggers who are interested in science and protecting fresh water to join IISD Experimental Lakes Area for a public presentation on exciting upcoming research on oil spills.
On March 12, 2019 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the Carol Shields Auditorium of the Millennium Library in Winnipeg, we will explore how we are rolling out the second stage of our groundbreaking research into the impact of oil spills on lakes and their shorelines, all taking place just four hours east of Winnipeg at IISD Experimental Lakes Area, the world's freshwater laboratory.
Vince Palace will present the research and explain why we can always understand more about the impact of pipeline spills on bodies of fresh water. He will also explain how we are carrying out the research and what safety precautions we are taking.
Then we want to hear from you. We will open up the floor to hear questions, comments and concerns from any member of the public who attends.
