An expert forum in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to discuss critical aspects of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for that country.
IISD is hosting an expert forum in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to discuss critical aspects of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for that country.
The event will bring together experts from across Latin America and the Caribbean to share experiences and practices on the following critical areas:
- Specific protocols to assess impacts on water resources and biodiversity;
- Approaches to conduct EIA for large projects such as those on mining and energy;
- Experiences with educating professionals to assist in developing and evaluating EIA reports.

This event is part of a larger effort by IISD to develop an online EIA learning tool to bring together key procedures, case studies and practices in the Central American region.
