The day will consist of a series of vibrant presentations and discussions on our unique approach of whole ecosystem research and the policy impact it has had around the globe.
We will take you on a journey from the early days of exploring the role of phosphorus on algal blooms and the value of whole-lake experimentation, to groundbreaking research on synthetic estrogen, reservoirs and dams, selenium and oil spills.
Key figures from the history of the site will be presenting, along with researchers who are now pushing the site, and its research portfolio, forward into the next 50 years.
If you're an IISD-ELA alumnus, please then join us the day after to reunite with all of your alumni friends and celebrate your time at the world's freshwater laboratory. More details here.
