They note the fragmentation of the sustainable development movement, and reflect on the point made by Jim MacNeill in a previous interview with David Souter on how the net effect of all-pervasive use of ICTs has been to weaken the authority of governments and therefore their capacity to govern effectively, and the implications of this for governing for sustainability.
